it's now day 2 as a farm owner and it's sinking in and I can't stop smiling!! I haven't wanted anything inmy life like I wanted this farm. The yellow farm house is so peaceful and we have chickens!!!! We have to find Lisa a horse. That should be easy though. we'll find her a groovy gelding who can bust a trail and doesn't mind getting his mane and tail braided now and then. :)

You guys are OUT OF CONTROL!!!!!
I have first dibs on space in that huge barn of yours for me and mine and that's that! Yeah, I'll show you about chickens......butchered a slew of them working on a REAL farm to support my horse passion in my teens. It's easy - you just pick the nastiest one, hang 'em up by the feets and...... oh never mind. You'll probably name them and keep them through retirement. Gwaaaauck, guack guack guack!
Congrats!

Lisa, meet my most wonderful cousin/mentor/friend for life Lady Barbara of Canmore Cottage in Dunedin, FLorida. She's a most brilliant interior designer, artist, and even knows how to kill chickens. She could be handy writing the "Chickens for Dummies" book!!

Hi Lisa -!
I admit my chicken care expertise is somewhat foggy after all these years. I also feel a teensy bit guilty for all the chickens whose lives I ended. I have come to prefer purchasing my protein wrapped in plastic in a cooler so I can pretend it was grown that way. I would happily help you write "Dummies for Chickens", though. We could dress your favorite chickens in colorful scarves and jewelry and quote them with wise and clever sayings - and, if we must, include recipes. For beef.
Welcome to the family. Lady B

I want to go with you to "farm and Fleet" They MUST have stacks of warming trays teeming with tiny yellow baby chicks just waiting for a cozy new home. Peep peep peep. They are so darn cute!
Later, you can croak the really nasty grown-up ones, make pillows of their feathers, and throw the useless parts like scaly legs and staring faces to the pigs, along with lots of juicy stuff like the tomatoes that were on the vine too long. Yeah - you should hear the noise when they dig into that trough full of goodies!

Or ducks! Ducks are good! The babies follow you all over the place and they dont peck each others' feathers out when they grow up. I'm all for Ducks for Dummies. Quack quack quack!

Naw, maybe stick to horses.
