The panels....

Halooo! Here's my panel that Barbara made. How cool is that?

News of the week: the sink is in and works great. Other news:
- I fell off Oscar and fractured my butt
-Trek world started; I don't like Trek world
- Cooper is eating a dead thing
- It's only 60 degrees right now
- the computer is fast again...yipppeee!

Short update today. Hope y'all are having a good weekend.

Ouuuuuch! Your butt? You broke your ass? Fractured your fanny? Dinged your derriere? What happened?

Cool panels! I need a closer look but here they are reminding me of one of my favorite kids' books "The Little House."

I spent the weekend with the sheep and they weren't good company.

Ohhh bummer on a weekend with sheep. Ick blick. I wasn't good company myself this weekend. I am downright tired of me!

Oh I was too relaxed on Oscar again. I was a little "high" from getting him to do an extended trot (it was KEWL!) and decided to finish the ride with a gallop round the field. Only he put his head down (a sign that he's feeling really happy) and when he did that I lost my right stirrup. I was casually putting my foot back--not too worried 'cause I can ride w/o the stirrups but then he jumped over a little depression (stayed on) and gave a little leprechan kick and boink. I went off like a sack o potatoes, landed on my arm, arse, etc. Stupid...totally my fault for not keeping him focused. But dang, he looks good and I think I'll try riding tomorrow. whoop whoop!

So, did you really break something or did you just bruise your ego? I was wondering when Trek World started.

FYI: The panels are great.

Peter, is that you??
I really did break something and Trek world started. I've been heavily medicated (wine and/or prescribed stuff..weee!)

The little fracture is healing nicely but the soft tissue damage is hanging around.

The doc said to ride some to increase blood flow so I did. Actually, I over did. ha! But I rode Oscar and my bike. Probably should have spaced it out a day or so but the horse is too awesome to leave in the barn!

Oh, my! I thought that was a figure of speech. Yes, PEST stands for the PE of Peter and the ST of Stahl.

Haloooo everyone from Trek World. I'm getting stupider by the day. Two more to go.....what's my name again? What day is it?

For last night's entertainment I rode sidesaddle on a bike to the Union and on the way back to the convention center my "driver" took a detour through the Hilton, bar and all. The bar patrons stared with open mouths as 5 bikes rolled on through (there were 5 bikes in our posse). We never stopped the bike to open any doors--just bumped them open with the front tire.

What happens at Trek world doesn't always stay at Trek world.

As the creator of the panels, I am particularly proud of my depiction of the seasonal water feature and erstwhile mosquito breeding center: "Lake Whoa! Be Gone!" (With abject apologies to Garrison Keeler). Although bone dry as of this noon, as skies darken and thunder rolls in the distance, one is reminded of the potential for rebirth and renewal all around Sunny Hill Farm. The dogs will soon have their murky wading place back. The frogs can come out of the basement and once again float on logs or lurk slurping flies in the tall grasses by the edge as, of course, they should. Becca will wear her tall rubber boots and fish out things that belong on shore. Rebirth and renewal - isn't that what farm life is all about, after all? Bones will heal and Trek World will come to an end and normal life will start again. rebirth and renewal.
Now, on this peaceful sunny day my caulk is dry and I return to painting walls and cabinets. Wadda perfect life! I'll be sorry when I'm done.

Hey you! 2.5 hours to go....2.5. I just ate two sandwiches and a baked potato. First "real" food I've eaten in a week.

Thanks for putting up with me during TW.
